Wicked 2024
i really wish i saw the show before this came out because OH MY GOD. during “no one mourns the wicked,” i already knew i was going to love this musical and its story. i could write so much about the opening number, but to put it simply: it’s easily one of the strongest openings i’ve ever seen in a musical, or in any story for that matter. i love love LOVE a cold opening. it is sonically, narratively, and thematically so perfect that i immediately fell in love. november 2025 can’t come any sooner.
