    it’s just so random, yet it all feels strangely meaningful
    third Jarmusch film I’ve watched, and all I can say is that he’s got an undying love for the comedy of repetition, with characters who are either deadpan or totally off-the-wall, and a passion for depicting the slow-paced monotony of life and the absurdity of everyday existence 
    it’s a formula I seem to quite enjoy 🎙️

    not the most original take, but seeing it again in theaters in 2024 hit me just as hard as when I first watched it in IMAX at 13
    the use of sound and silence, the wide shots of space, the way the plot threads collide at the end with the music blaring way too loud, and that dusty farmhouse with its endless fields and that damn bookshelf– breathtaking!! 
    still one of my favorite films today, despite its decidedly far-fetched plot.. .
