haven't watched this since i was 16 so technically a re-watch but i had basically forgotten most of the details in the last 10 years so might as well be a new movie to me. it's not like i read anything more than the sparknotes in high school anyways.
pretentious but good pretentious. need a man to yearn for me like gatsby did for daisy even if it means building an illegal bootlegging empire.

my hottest take is that i will never watch this movie again because it is bad. why would i want to watch a movie about a man who wants to kill himself during the holiday season? and it's just so boring. i saw this movie once 10 years ago and will never forget how much i could not stand it. SNOOZEFEST. the world would be a better place if this had never been made.
