I like how they explored the dance when the character feels triggered by childhood trauma. It could be more explored, though.
Some scenes at the court felt unnecessary, and I feel the narrative could be richer if Harley Quinn character were the psychiatric doctor of Arthur.
The dream scenes were beautiful, as the one where he dances at the court.
As a director, I would show him less at the asylum and explore the connection between him and Harley outside…

The Substance 2024
First of all: it was brave to expose the adenochrome use through a metaphoric gore thriller based in LA.
The connection between the matrix and the "better self" could be more deeply developed and I've found the gore/grotesque stuff unnecessary, specially at the end.
This type of film genre is not my cup of tea and as a filmmaker I would have explored things differently.
