Just when I thought what else is left to be done in the area of filmmaking in terms of inventing a new thought/structure/genre, enters #OneCutofTheDead. The director, who is only 34 years old, has expressed his real pain as a filmmaker. Absolute genius. A piece every aspiring filmmaker must watch. This is going to go down as one of the finest, funniest, and brilliantly well-made films in the history.

Mrunal Thakur with her very strong screen presence (and this is her first feature film?) compels you to turn a blind eye to little flaws in the film. She was brilliant.

Of course, the film has its share of accusations when seen retrospectively. The 1962 adaptation of Harper Lee’s 1960 novel of the same name has been criticized for the same reasons as the source.

A white man (Atticus) is the voice for a black man (Tom Robinson) who is wrongly accused of a crime. The other black characters as well have a few to no lines throughout the film. The narrative almost unintentionally strengthens Rudyard Kipling’s idea of White Man’s…

What an entertainer!

Finally I got my hands on it and it was all worth the time.

I am going to watch it a few more times because it is so well made besides being entertaining.

From avoiding the film all these years for its romantic genre to its becoming one of my favorite romantic films.

Going backward from the recent ugly memories of a relationship to its tender beginning, and re-discovering love while you're actually intending to erase everything to begin anew.

So technical in its treatment but so tender in its feel makes Eternal Sunshine an absolutely memorable film.

Emotionally rewarding.

This was my first Malayalam movie and I totally enjoyed it. The two central characters (the manager Majid and the football star Samuel)were undoubtedly brilliant but what stole my heart were the two female characters - Jamila and Beeyumma (played by Savithri Sredharan and Sarasa Balussery respectively). They were both adorable and acted so very well.

Nice picture, amazing music.
We literally feared making any kind of noise while watching the film in the theatre. One of the finest films this year.

I watched 1 hour of this film every day. So it took me about 4 days to finish it and it turned out to be an good exercise. The film although has some problems now that we are familiar with numerous global movements, it is undoubtedly a cinematic masterpiece with a painting-like cinematography.

'Dil Chahta Hai' is my go-to film when I'm looking for a fun filled adventure. Driven by its characters, the film is about the bond between 3 friends and their varied love lives.
