    I just watched this last night and it reminded me to review it here, which is saying a lot. Many times for me that only occurs when a movie is great, funny, or bad. This movie was a combination of two (great + funny).
    I did like the movie trope callbacks as well as direct lines from other films said in funny/unexpected ways, but the movie had alot of unique qualities to it as well. There were some honest discussions…

    This one is apparently partially based on  a true story but the director included a supernatural element because of course??! Even though it literally didn’t need that lmao
    So many tv actors in this, so many. Also Jamie Chung, who deserves more credit.
    I kinda felt like making this movie and then shoving a poorly explained Shinigami ghost element in there was disrespectful, but idk.
    It’s directed by the guy who made the Grudge series.
    He also directed Kiki’s Delivery Service lmao you’re welcome.
    This guy has….range?
    I guess the Shinigami explained all the ridiculous backstory for these characters but it still sucked.
