It’s impresive how they made a terrible interpretation of Mexico, relying on stereotypes and a shallow understanding of the country. It feels like a misinformed outsider’s view, as if the filmmakers only know Mexico from Netflix shows.
The songs are seriously an insult, a mockery and it doesn’t work. Why would you make a musical about death, narcotrafic, missing people… it doesn’t make any sense.
