  Brave New World is functional but uninspired. It never quite fails, yet it rarely capitalizes on its setup, making it feel like it is simply going through the motions.   Going by the trailers, you’d expect Black Bag to be a globe-trotting high octane action thriller, but it isn’t and I’m so glad it's not. It’s a slow-burn spy story that's more John le Carré than James Bond. The runtime feels adequate despite being really short compared to most modern films clocking in at 2 hours or more.
