  We’re really close to getting this right. Writing is funny, direction is solid, styling is great (if not obvious). I think the only weak link is the casting.

  Kathryn Newton is fine, she’s stronger in the second half than the first. On the other hand, I think Cole Sprouse is a miss. Given that Frankenstein does not speak throughout the film, we really need a strong actor in this part who can convey the range of emotions through body language. …
