Seeing the bad reviews, I actually felt that people didn’t want a Black man playing Captain America and hated to see the US President as the villainous Red Hulk after Trump’s arrival to power.
But the film was a shit show indeed.

Amazed by the poignant commentary on dowry system by Ponman. Basil Joseph as Ajesh will go down as one of the greatest characters that displayed the contemporary male psyche prevailing in the postglobal South Indian societies. Lijomol Jose is phenomenal. Great piece of work.
Again, Arun Matheswaran comes up with another Rocky. The style and narrative has not changed. The chapterization, violence and profanity reminds of Tarantino.
Saani Kaayitham is a tale of two step siblings in a journey to serve their vengeance against 4 different men in different places. To make this journey and vengeance sound better, Arun Matheswaran employs a caste atrocity background that falls flat and I felt the entire caste atrocity troupe has been used to narrate this bloodthirsty, meaningless rest killing parts of the film.
Caste atrocities are serious issues, Arun Matheswaran and they do not happen to satisfy your revenge porn.
Despite few flaws in technical aspect and slow pace, Witness is an important political film about metropolitan cities and its frontline workers. Deepak in his debut film has made a strong political statement, especially the climax. Almost all characters made an impression, especially those played by Rohini and comrade Selva.
