Honestly, I did not care about any of these characters. I don’t even remember their names. They felt so cookie cutter and bland. I could barely tell the main female character and the actor that was a part of the digging group apart, unless they were In the same scene. I don’t know maybe that’s more of a critique of me than the director but it’s how I felt.
Ugh, I really wanted to fall in love with this movie. But I just wasn’t scared and didn’t really care what happened to them.

The acting was good. It was shot well! The story was a little meh. When I found out that a family did this film it had more of an impact on me. It made me respect it more. But I don’t think I would recommend it to a friend.

Predictable and full of horror tropes. I only watched because it was in the conjuring universe. I predicted a couple lines of the movie. That's when you know the writers did not care at all. I've seen better writing in Goosebump stories. Actually I've seen better Goosebump movies.
