  It's hard to live up to a classic like Disney's '98 Mulan, but I have to admit the 2020 version did its best. The bops were sorely missed as well as some iconic dialogue and characters.

  Some of the casting choices were off for me. They were wonderful actors I just didn't feel like they were right for the parts.
  However, I did like the movie and how they did have feminism without leaving the realm of historical accuracy. Although some of the characters that did have a "feminist" speech was off for their characters as they are in the novel.
  Overall, I thought the plot good, the cinematography well done, but the characters not completely true to form.
