  What, no one's gonna mention the casual reference to the house from Parasite?

  Bong Joon-ho delivered a great number of subtle, meaningful points to ponder afterward, but I get the sense he left the script unattended a few times—because someone slipped in some gratuitous "thirsty" scenes. And for what? To sprinkle in some third-grade American adult humor?

  Despite everything else being amazing, those shoehorned moments knocked a few stars off my rating

  Yes, you do need a Danish gene or two to stomach some of their offbeat scenes, missed comic relief cues, blatancy, and what not.
  However, this movie pushes you through strong, raw, and, sometimes, visually-striking messages. Because of these sudden message shifts and the extremes you're taken to, you get a sense that the characters and the story are underdeveloped.

  To be fair, I was lost the first 30 minutes. Where is it all going? When will the fun part begin? But then, the thread started unraveling.
