Joker (2019) is on Trial and Folie a deux does an amazing and very intelligent job in deconstructing the previous movie and it's main character.
If in the previous Joker was made a common man, Arthur, having a common life, in a common world. Phillips now decides to separate the man from the mask, focusing on this dualism and slowly taking Arthur down. Demystifing and prosecuting him.
Unfortunately directing and editing are not amazing (expecially in the musical parts). But that won't change the excellent writing work that has been done in these 2 movies in relation to the cinecomic genre and its characters.
