This movie really didn’t need to be made… There are some good action scenes and the acting is fine across the board, but that’s really where the praise ends. All of the philosophical and personal tension that made the original so great is not present here. Pedro Pascal’s character feels like an uninspired version of Maximus and adds nothing to the story.
