  A few too many plotlines but it’s fun, so I don’t mind. With a tighter edit, this could be a much stronger movie. As it is, it’s still very good.

  Monty Python and the Holy Grail 1975

  Most people are too cowardly to acknowledge that the middle 30-40 minutes of this film are incredibly mediocre.

  But the good parts are truly timeless, and I weirdly adore the set design/overall atmosphere. Even though it’s satirical, it totally scratches that fantasy itch.

  Dare I say instant classic? A nearly perfect movie with a perfect cast? Should be required viewing for kids of any gender in that age range.

  It manages to strike such a delicate tone throughout. What an accomplishment.
