I love each and every little metaphorical message and moments that were present throughout. it told so many different tales all within its time frame which in itself, impressed me the most.

it’s one of those movies that isn’t bad to me but I wouldn’t have minded this being a 2-3hr movie because I felt the plot was intriguing yet very rushed. with such an amazing book it’s adapting, it would’ve sufficed to use as much as the source material as possible and that’s the biggest miss here.

I could literally write an essay about this movie but to keep it short and sweet; I loved the cinematic touch and use of sound throughout. it builds a different level of suspense that leaves you even more anxious and in-tune than you’d think you would be. it’s soothing and heart-aching all in one and it’s been a while since a film has made me feel such twisted emotions.

Soul is one of those movies you show your children. it teaches those same values and lessons that are popular amongst Pixar movies which I dearly love. Jamie Foxx’s performance was stellar and I will be a strong advocate for this movie being one of Pixar’s most underrated and under appreciated films.
