I’m Still Here
What a movie! It’s a true pleasure to leave the movie theater after watching this kind of film.
It’s almost perfect; it’s what Emilia Pérez couldn’t be. This movie deserves more. I think this is the first Brazilian movie I’ve ever watched.
It moves you with corruption, enforced disappearances, and the pain of an entire country with great sensitivity and respect. Without clichés.
In my opinion, it’s the second-best international movie of the year and the second-place contender for the Oscars.
4th place among all the movies I watched in the 2024 season.
