2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
Incredibly well-paced and thoughtful movie. Way ahead of its time from the sci fi tech to cinematography/costume design/score.
I was a bit confused bc I thought the monolith showed humans how to create AI and that was the next step in evolution but I guess it was actually the star child which is just less tangible? Half a star deduction!
