New York 1965. Terry Gionoffrio loses her chance to become a dancer on Broadway after a tragic blow of fate. While wandering the streets of New York, Terry meets the elderly couple Minnie and Roman, who offer her the opportunity to fulfill her dream. However, the couple harbors many secrets, and so does the building they live in…

Although I haven’t had the chance to watch Rosemary‘s Baby yet, I decided to give its prequel Apartment 7A, a try. And…

    Speak No Evil

    ★★★

Speak No Evil begins in an idyllic and hopeful way; two families meet on vacation in Italy and, after a short while, are invited on a weekend trip to the countryside of England. However, what initally appears to be a relaxing getaway quickly transforms into a nightmare...

The story starts with a great promise but unfortunately becomes increasingly unengaging. At first, there is a sense of unease, and James McAvoy, as Paddy, impresses with a charismatic yet mysterious persona. Many…

    It's What's Inside

    ★★★½

It‘s What‘s Inside revolves around a group of friends who, on the eve of Reuben‘s wedding, engage in a mysterious and dangerous body-swapping game that reveals many secrets upon them.

This trippy sci-fi thriller, infused with a touch of mystery, captivated me despite the increasingly intricate and dramatic revelations among the characters. I particularly enjoyed how the film played with colors, illusions and sounds. The resolution of the body swap, depicted through polaroids, was especially creative. Admittedly, some scenes could have been executed more cleverly, such as the somewhat monotonous ending. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised that Netflix has hit the mark after a long time.

We are always talking about tennis.

Luca Guadagnino created a tension between tennis and interpersonal relations – especially with the two main characters Art and Patrick. Their relationship throughout the whole movie felt like watching an intense game, sitting on the edge of your seat and impatiently waiting for the outcome.
As of Tashi played by Zendaya, I personally thought of her as the breaking point of Art and Patrick‘s friendship. Nevertheless all three of them did an outstanding job in making us tense up for the third act of the movie.
