Angelina Jolie gives a very good performance and there are moments of grace, but I thought there was something at times repetitive and disjointed about this biotic - and a script that has its weaknesses.

A gripping portrait of a family in modern day Iran, torn between a father who works for the ruling party, two daughters who grow increasingly critical of the powers in place as they are caught up in student protests, and a wife who struggles to keep the family united. Breathtaking. The use of real footage is a good reminder of how dire the situation is in Iran.
