  The original movie told the story better, but this was a really fun musical, and I think anyone who knows and loves the original will have a blast seeing this with friends. It’s not trying to replace the original, but it did a great job of bringing the story in to the 2020’s.
  Angourie Rice is cute as Cady, but doesn’t quite have the same presence as Lindsey Lohan had. She does kinda fade into the background, especially because Reneé Rapp and Auli’i Cravalho deliver such powerful performances.
