  Films for me are mostly supposed to be entertaining and this one is from start to finish. The plot seems at times implausible but the rapport between Denzel Washington and Mark Whalberg drives the film.

  The script is excellent, very humorous and compelling. Great performances from Denzel, Bill Paxton and even Mark Whalberg. Not as much action as you might think but really good fun if you are willing to suspend your disbelief!

  Who cares what the 'critics' say? From one who just enjoys good flicks - thoroughly enjoyable watch! Yes, screenplay wasn't top class but for a shoot-up. Fast, action-packed - and fun! Well worth watching.

  Afraid 2024

  I was excited to see it, but was quite disappointed. This movie is def not a horror movie...not at all. It’s more sci-fi than anything.

  There were moments where I felt the writing was AI-generated (see what I did there), but this movie overall message outweighs those weaknesses. I advise you to watch this movie for yourself. It's a modern take on AI made at the perfect time :]

  Never heard of the book, so went in blind. It started out well enough. I was keen to see where it went. But by the final 3rd of the film, I was watching it on fast forward. Lots of fluff and filler. 

  I found Lily unlikable but I do think she secretly loved having two hot, chiseled tough guy men fighting for her affections. She betrayed her new husband by keeping her former lover’s number in her phone case. She…

  The Union 2024

  ★★ Rewatched 23 Aug 2024

  Halle hasn't convinced me as action character in this movie, running and holding an assault rifle looked clumsy and uncomfortable. Maybe a little past it now, although still looks absolutely amazing.
   
  Storyline is weak and I found myself wanting to fast forward through the film, which I never do. I haven't, but I've stopped at 56 minutes remaining and will continue when I have nothing better to do.

  Wahlberg is always fun.

  A disappointment as I love both these actors and usually love their movies.
