The process of very strange and unusual grief that the main character goes through, where he first completely disconnected from every feeling to his wife, he didn't loved her or maybe he did but couldn't admit it to him self because it would hurt too much. It's almost criminal how no one is talking about the main evil guy beating the face of that boy in the beginning, im forever traumatized, and even after 3 years I still am disguised and horrified when I remember that scene and because of it I'm mortified when I see someone getting hit in a face with something.
