  Beautifully portrayed the stuff of nostalgia that makes me want to return to a prepubescent summer— languid afternoons with a backtrack of crickets and your own keyboard, the thrill of making a new friend in the span of a few hours, a sick day spent on the couch in front of the tv— while capturing the feeling of dread, loneliness, and otherness that come with being a kid with no power over the basic facts of your life and reminds me why I’m relieved to never have to be 10 again.
