The Brutalist 2024
I really liked this. Felt emotionally very heavy coming home from the cinema. And physically because I had the bottomless popcorn from Alamo drafthouse.

The Apprentice 2024
Sebastian Stan was scary good in this film. same with Jeremy Strong. I wasn't really sure what to expect from a movie about Trump, and whether it was going to be enjoyable to watch? The film was really well made/performed, and the subject matter was pretty gross and telling, and overall depressing given 30 years after the movie's setting we're here. I'd recommend, if you're curious about it. For warning's sake, there's a pretty shocking sexual abuse scene I had not anticipated.
