My only complaint about this wonderful energetic journey of bright colours and vivid music was the fact that I felt I needed a little bit more of adventure, of "hero's journey" in the middle of the movie. I felt it all happened too fast and a connection in the plot was lacking. I may have a slightly more personal connection to this film, since it was practically my comfort movie during the summer that preceded a very challenging year at school. However, I don't think anyone would doubt that "Luca" is one of Pixar's most beautifully done films of the last two decades. Along with "Inside Out", "Coco" and "Brave", it has found a special place in my heart.

Azur & Asmar: The Princes' Quest 2006
I feel so nostalgic to write on this! This fairytale has marked my childhood. The incredible story of Azur and Asmar, the two completely different boys that were raised like brothers, I never got tired of hearing through the beautiful animation. I never hesitated or regreted following them in their quest.
This film is a work of inspiration, told in a way that captures the eye and makes the viewer reflect on issues of unity, real bravery and love.

The Emperor's Club 2002
Everybody keeps comparing this movie to Dead Poet's Society but as I haven't watched that, I am judging the Emperor's Club more neutrally.
I can see why people complain about the movie being boring. Our poor Hollywood-brainwashed minds need action and cannot follow a calm movie focusing on some important ethical messages. In other words, we have many Sedgewick Bells among us. But that's alright.
To me, that film has good performances and strong messages and therefore I quite enjoyed watching it at school.
