this movie was such a huge disappointment to me. i wanted to like it so much, but by the end of it, by the so-called 'resolution', it just left me feeling like the last hour and a half was utterly pointless. the characters' journey didn't feel like it mattered at all. the music wasn't memorable, the only thing i can really gush about were the visuals and costumes. ryan gosling and emma stone weren't BAD singers but they definitely don't have musical theatre voices. i see why people enjoyed it but i'm not sure that i think its particularly award worthy.
