this film builds up a kind of sadness within you that ends up feeling like a ten tonne weight by the final fifteen minutes and it’s so masterfully done.
i find it interesting that when i first watched it, tusker was the character that really hit me yet now i find colin firth’s subtly devastating performance as sam to be the most compelling part of the film.

I’ve been following this weekly and I’m kind of undecided on it??
Overall, it’s a great detective series. All the cast are on their a-game throughout and there’s not a bad performance from anyone at any point. Characters like Amy, Kirsten, the Captain, the XO and some other crew members are very well fleshed out and interesting to watch as their motivations, understanding and beliefs shift from episode to episode.
Also great to see canon sapphics as the main couple…
