What an insane movie. Although I felt some of the humour was dated and/or a little distracting, this movie is a powerhouse of absurdist humour. On top of the clever visual gags and great one liners, the practical effect of this movie are genuinely impressive. It’s a goofy, visually unique, raunchy, romp and hidden gem of a film. Styrofoam cup.

I understand the general public is not used to musicals and this film is - if you want to split hairs - an unnecessary sequel to a very solid movie, but I have no idea why I have heard so much negativity towards this prior to seeing it. I enjoyed this movie! I thought the plot was a believable extension of Joker, I thought the music was added tastefully within Arthur’s fantasy, I thought the performances from both Joaquin Pheonix…
