LOL I forgot I had seen this until I went to log it. Conceptually there's a potential here but this sucks. Feels incredibly dated and tame in a world that's been obsessed with true crime for the last decade.

Went in blind and am so glad I did. A masterclass in suspense!
Something I could not get out of my head were the stylistic similarities between this movie and Jurassic Park, did Spielberg ever cite this as an influence? The tropical setting, the torrential rains, the heavy trucks moving through the mud, the winches... I mean look at this scene, it's just Sorcerer with dinosaurs: youtu.be/MNoWveBtrZc?si=4R1hzByO90CSMMum
Worth noting: I saw this in a theater two days after Hamas attacked…

The man sure had an affinity for finding body parts. RIP
Trauma is dissected in such a raw way -- brutal and loud at times, weak and pitiful at others. We see how trauma begets more trauma, how trauma impacts those around us, and how growth and self-reclamation can aid in overcoming it.
Might be over analyzing here, but is there a connection to be made between the setting of Lincoln St. and the character Frank Booth? 🤔
