It's not like I write a review here regularly, but Koreeda is always something else for me; he deserves to be praised. Not only for his perfect ability to direct and make films, but also for his unique standpoint on matters like family, children, and the challenges of modern life. Well done, Mr. Koreeda, you have once again won my admiration. The movie reminded me a bit of Akira Kurosawa's 'Rashomon,' but overall, it has its unique plot and narrative. For those who have watched previous Koreeda films, especially 'Nobody Knows,' this movie also has a devastating ending.
