as someone who hates military movies and is against United States propaganda, i enjoy this movie. SORRY.
You can only watch this movie if you have the expectations of watching a depiction of WAR. not sympathy or justice. It's a hard watch, but that's the point. You get to see the worst parts of masculinity and fear. The second a male feels shame or emasculated, he either comes up with excuses or straight up plots and commits a war crime. ain't that a bitch?
