  This was fantastic. The stake out and following sequences are so good and then there’s the amazing car chase sequence (Friedkin had a gift for these car sequences) and an ending truly fitting of late 60s, early 70s cinema.

  Still standing behind this film as being incredibly moving. It's not for everyone but I really enjoy it.

  What cannot be applauded of this movie? I would go as far as to say this is a perfect film.

  On a technical level (editing, cinematography, sound design, color), everything is delicious.

  The acting is out of this world. J.K. Simmons is absolutely terrifying and had me leaning away from the screen as I watched in theaters. Miles Teller kills it as a freaking awesome protagonist. He is so compelling and relentless--it gets ugly but you cannot look away.
