Anora is one of those films that confuses me in terms of why it received so much praise. Mikey Madison carried the majority of the film; however, at around the halfway point, it just became boring. Around 30 minutes of the film was the characters just going around places looking for someone. The best part of the film is when they are all in the mansion trying to figure out the situation. The soundtrack was always great. It was comedic at times and is seen as a more raunchy pretty woman but that was ultimately the better film.

A movie like this could not be made today, giving a multifaceted approach to the question of race in America. Stellar performances by the supporting cast, such as Edward Furlong (whom you would recognise from *Terminator 2*) and Stacy Keach. This is a film that sticks with you long after you watch it and…
A movie that could never live up to the masterpiece that was Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" makes an attempt to gauge the audience with callbacks to the original aswell as a sort of role reversal in terms of who is in control. Nicholas Cage overacts a little too much, and his performance comes off as more goofy than scary. Combined with a plot that is simply ridiculous, leading to an unsatisfying climax and flat ending, the movie falls short. Maika Monroe's performance was good but was not enough to save the film's incredibly slow pacing. I…
