The Constant Gardener 2005
Got half way and turned it off. Couldn’t tell which character was more insufferable. Hated all of them. It’s one of those movies that you’ve seen enough times to know there just isn’t a pay off big enough worth sitting through the whole thing.

The Sacrifice 1986
Did not expect a full pledged homage to Bergman for Tarkovskys final film. Beautiful cinematography, long shots and intervals gives the movie breathing room, a chance to reflect and a chance to process key complex existential, spiritual and sacrificial themes central to the film. The house fire scene during the climax is legendary; however, Alexander running around in madness and desperation was near comical.
