Kickingggg myself I didn’t see this animation in theaters - just pure art in motion. The animation is the star of the show here throughout. The story was fine, but struggled with pacing and could have used more character development instead of trying to connect to the main trilogy at every turn. Inviting comparisons to the battle in Two Towers is tricky and while the battles looked great I feel…

Some strong performances, good chemistry, and obviously a captivating narrative with a powerful message carry this. Couldn’t shake some of the “booky” elements and questionable dialogue. Wasn’t sure if it was poorly written during the screen play or just didn’t translate from the book to the screen.
Hoping this catches more mainstream movement because the message is important for young people to bring with them into future relationships.
