Incredible camera movement and style. Very enjoyable. Overall, I think I enjoy uncut gems and punch drunk love more within the genre of “unrelenting and entirely preventable stressful situations”

Mulholland Drive 2001
Based of the online discourse I’ve seen and this being my first Lynch movie, I knew Mulholland Drive would be a difficult one to interpret and “get”. After doing some reading online and thinking, I have a grasp of what I interpret the movie to be about, but I think I’d have a greater appreciation for this after seeing more Lynch films and better understanding him as a director. Overall, this is obviously a very well made movie, and I get why people love it. It just didn’t fully resonate with me. At least not yet.
