    Saw this on release weekend but just now getting around to it. 

    Let me start by saying, I haven’t checked the discourse surrounding this movie lately but I was truly baffled as to what I was missing compared to everyone else.     Alien: Romulus is the first installment in the Alien franchise since Ridley Scott’s second prequel film Covenant and also the first Alien released under Disney’s ownership of the IP. I’m honestly shocked we’re still getting more Alien content considering how mixed/bad the responses were to Scott’s two prequel films (both of which I liked quite a bit, though far from perfect). 

    I really wanted to love this movie and for it to be the Alien movie I’ve wanted for years…
