  Four Weddings and a Funeral 1994

  The two main characters are both extremely annoying. We learn nothing about her and we barely see them spend any time together. WHAT IS THIS LOVE BASED ON?!

  Some of the jokes are funny, and the funeral scene is pretty good, but otherwise it's all just twee and boring, filled with platitudes like "let yourself commit to somebody" which are not borne out in the story.

  Great animation. First half I was enjoying and understood roughly what was going on. Second half gets pretty metaphorical. I'll watch it again some time.

  Loved the atmosphere and themes. A lot of the exposition was told pretty statically and kinda went over my head.

  Feels like it draws a lot from Blade Runner and lends a LOT to Metal Gear Solid. (In fact, the feeling of desperately trying to pay attention during the exposition felt exactly like playing Metal Gear Solid.)
