Borderline is a wicked, stylish, & fun thriller with excellent performances from Ray Nicholson & Samara Weaving. This has the delightfully twisted vibe of something Coen Brothers adjacent. While it’s certainly entertaining, the entire film just felt like it was missing something.

Samara Weaving is & always will be a goddess though.

This isn’t great. But it is goofy, meta, & supplies a few good laughs. I can sleep soundly tonight now that I know the complex backstory behind Plankton & Karen’s relationship.

Still a better musical than Emilia Perez.

Mickey 17 is a deliciously weird film. I kinda loved it. Bong Joon Ho continues to make films that are creative, layered, intriguing, & darkly comedic.

It wasn’t a total slam-dunk for me, but I was always engaged, & charmed by it. Plus, Robert Pattinson is undeniably great & Mark Ruffalo is acting like he’s in an SNL sketch the entire movie. It’s all good satirical fun.

Daniel Day-Lewis wishes he had the talent & charisma of Sophie Thatcher. Go off sis.

Companion is an absolute blast. The film does an exceptional job of balancing contrasting tones. It is a fast-paced, cleverly constructed psychological thriller that provides you with plenty of laughs along the way. I also admire how the filmmaker handles certain topics & themes in a way that is thought-provoking, but never preachy or heavy handed.

It’s so awesome & refreshing to get a solid original film instead of never ending sequels/remakes.
