Denzel always freaking kills it. The amount of symbolism in this movie is ridiculous, from post apocalyptic tropes to religious symbols and characters. There was a lot more tell than show in some moments, and it took away a little from the epic story I think was trying to be told. Costuming and vibes were also on theme.
To date, my favorite Christmas movie. Less is more, and Klaus delivers a Santa origin story with efficiency while giving valuable lessons about why we even celebrate Christmas.

For a movie made in 1931, I was left speechless. Peter Lorre executes ones of the most baller ending monologues of all time. I do think the movie couldve benefitted from having more than 20 movies existing before it for some story element trimming, but regardless it felt like I watching the movie industry start taking its first major strides. Some of the transitions were incredible for 1931, and I am happy that I got out of my comfort zone to watch this.
