Killer Legends 2014

I like the idea of examining where urban legends originated, but this documentary has an attitude to it that really grossed me out. It's sensationalist, voyueristic, and a little dumb. Such as when they walk into the dark woods, look at a random tree among hundreds of trees, compare it to a 60 year old photograph, and determine it was probably the tree a young woman was killed at. Nope.
Or how about the part where the documentarians walk up to the door of an old lady and inform her of the atrocities that happened in her home before she lived there? It's disgusting.

It may take me a while to fully develop my opinion on the film, because my gut tells me a filmmaker like Scorsese wouldn't make the movie I just saw.
