I did not think the reviews for this movie would be this high.

Visually, this movie is stunning. Sweeping 360 shots, split diopter shots, and birds eye shots are lit beautifully, and it’s apparent that every movement was intentional. Timmy is lowkey goated…
Bob Dylan lowkey a dick but just gets away with it….

Nothing too standout for this movie. Set design is sick, Timmy and Ed Norton both give great performances.

The few creative camerawork choices taken were interesting, but often felt unmotivated. When they were motivated they were done super well like the pacing when Bob pulls Joan out of the bar.

Every shot felt like a moving painting, but not in the sense where that’s what film was first said to be as an art but in the sense that the use of light and movement and texture was just beautiful.

That being said this shot was so disjointed that I struggled to pay attention through the whole thing. Definitely need to rewatch it but damn it was beautiful.

Colman Domingo absolutely crushed this role. 100%.

Camerawork was subdued which really let the story and actors shine.
