so much god damn fun but also waaaay more clever than it seems on the surface. class division was always a reoccurring theme throughout the film, even if it was subtle and had to be told to us through narration. however, that doesn’t mean the ending hit any less hard. friends we make in our adolescence rarely stay our friends our entire lives, and this film encapsulates that exact nostalgic sentimentality which eventually comes around in the (tragic?) ending.

i felt sick to my stomach watching this.
never before has there been a film that has had me so hypnotized through its entire runtime. it was a descent into madness, chaos, and terror. there were so many themes explored in this that can really teach you something about yourself if you’re willing to look deeper. also Isabelle Adjani did NOT have to go that hard in this!!
