  I have never been more pleasantly surprised by a film in my life. Knockemstiff was a name of a small town in the film... and boy did this film knock me stiff.

  This film highlights individual relationships with religion. Everyone has their own way of feeling “close to God”, even if that means doing some batshit crazy sacrificial crap.

  I hated this movie so much on the first viewing. I was so anxious because I could not figure out what the fuck was happening. After finishing it and reading an analysis of the film, I had a greater appreciation for it. My heart ached at the end. I’ll watch it again... but I need some time.
