more relevant now than ever… ex machina really does hold up 10 years later!
continually impressed with how self contained it is. garland is hitting on all levels without being overly ambitious. vibey as hell, visually stunning, and even funny! i forgot how much those moments of levity lend to the pacing.
it’s asking big questions but without pretension. it’s never trying to do too much. one location and a cast of four. we can learn a lot from that!!
