Biopics are hard. He did some cool stuff, but it doesn't really fit a nice arc. This movie is a good starting point for understanding some of the trials and conflicts within the church related to the Nazis. But ultimately the conflicts lack any nuance. The writing doesn't make the people or conflicts seem three dimensional, just very white hats and black hats, an oversimplified telling of history that doesn't feel real nor is it interesting.

This is the first movie of the series that feels modern. The action set pieces go up significantly. It has all the twists and turns you expect. The villain might be best yet. He is so unflappable and in control that he intimidates more than vague violent man #2. A welcome return to form after the second installment
