  Maybe the best use of overlapping dialogue I’ve seen. So fucking funny watching the buffoonery of the three idiots with Mikey Madison. Amazing ending too.

  This is my definition of a classic. Every time I watch it it gets better. Alan Ruck’s performance is perfect. The first 30 minutes are pretty much unassailable. 

  I did forget how much time was spent on Rooney trying to break into the house, which is my only complaint. Basically John Hughes’ home alone demo tape. 

  Hughes is synonymous with the 80s, and to me this is by far his best movie.

  Yeahhhhh Denzel’s still got it. Ridley Scott really said “fuck it, play the hits” and damn if it didn’t feel good. Exact same plot as the first, beat for beat, with poorer execution. But hey I like what I like.
