  This one was pretty awesome and definitely the best thing I've seen out of Travolta.

  Just a classic thrill and chill. The use of audio evidence is interesting.

  A great Fourth of July movie in the same way Die Hard is considered a great Christmas movie.

  Men 2022

  I recall thinking this was pretty good, had to have been like May or June when I saw it.

  Not the most perfect movie but a horror movie with some other stuff going on.

  I do like some of the other movies Alex Garland has made, so it was interesting to see another extension of his vision.

  Prisoners 2013

  Totally thought this was just a movie about prisoners and I put it off a while. This is maybe the best thriller of the past decade. Feels like it easily could’ve been a six episode true crime miniseries a la Night Of and of course it reminds you of Mare of Easttown. 

  Phenomenal and rich story. Well executed. Gyllenhall was great. Relieved to see a movie of this 4+ star caliber for once!

  Late Night with the Devil 2023

  Fun little indie flickie that felt very creative for a pretty contained and simple story. It would make a great Halloween watch, not sure why it just came out. 

  Fell short in some ways but I also didn’t have crazy expectations for it. The movie is very intentionally campy. 

  I liked the main lead, David Dastmalchian. More movies like this should get a chance to hit more theaters!
